Global Korea Scholarship for Nepal- How to apply

The GKS scholarship is a fully funded chance to study in Korea for free. Therefore, students can benefit from so many rewarding opportunities. 

To apply, deserving applicants should follow these guidelines carefully. Candidates may choose ONE of the two methods for documents submission.

1. EMBASSY TRACK

OR

2. UNIVERSITY TRACK

The EMBASSY TRACK is for those students who wish to apply via the Korean Embassy in Nepal. Hence, all of their documents will go directly to the Embassy.

Those candidates who apply via the UNIVERSITY TRACK will send documents directly to their Korean University of choice.

NOTE: Candidates should be mindful of two important things: Firstly, those who apply via the Embassy Track may select any THREE universities of choice. 

On the other hand, the process is a little different for the University Track. Here, candidates can only choose ONE Korean university. 

IMPORTANT: To avoid disappointment, candidates should be careful while applying. Moreover, GKS submissions will be disregarded if they don’t follow instructions.

Who can apply?

The 2021 Global Korea Scholarship for Nepal is for the following:

• ONLY Nepali citizens can apply 
• Korean Citizens are NOT allowed
• Students who are below the age 25, before March 1st, 2021 can apply.
• Only High School graduates may apply
• Those awaiting their results may also take part in the GKS program
• All students NEED to submit a High School certificate and their transcripts
• Candidates who are mentally and physically fit may apply
• For the undergraduate program, the minimal requirement is 80% marks

Documents for Global Korea Scholarship for Nepal 2021

All students should attach the following list of documents: 

• Statement of Purpose
• High School Transcripts  
• High School Certificate
• TWO recommendation letters
• Valid Medical assessment form 
• Award Certificates
• A certificate of proficiency

NOTE: Students must attest their photocopies for submission. Also, please remember that candidates will NOT receive any documents back.
