2021 GKS Scholarship for the Philippines- How to apply

Getting the chance to study in Korea for free has never been easier than now. We’ve enlisted the simplest way to apply. Hence, get on board and make the most of this golden opportunity. 

At the moment, seats are available for the undergraduate programs.

As far as applying is concerned, all candidates from the Philippines can choose either ONE of the two methods:

1. Application via the EMBASSY Track

OR

2. Application via the UNIVERSITY Track

If you plan on choosing the EMBASSY Track, you will need to submit your documents to the Korean Embassy in Manila. 

However, if you choose to apply via the UNIVERSITY Track, you will submit all of your documents to your Korean University of choice. 

NOTE: All candidates can choose either ONE of the two methods. In the same way, students can’t use both tracks at the same time.

Hence, that means students’ selection is totally based upon their ease and preference. 

IMPORTANT: At the same time, scholars should be aware of the rules. For instance, those applying via the Embassy Track may apply to any THREE Korean Universities. On the other hand, those applying via the University Track can only choose ONE university.

Eligibility Criteria For Students

To apply for this incredible chance, candidates should fulfill these criteria:

1. All students should be citizens of the Philippines
2. Korean citizens are NOT allowed to apply
3. Candidates should be below the age of 25 as of March 1st, 2021.
4. All participants SHOULD be High School graduates.
5. Also, if a candidate is awaiting their graduation, they may apply
6. The applicants MUST provide a High School graduation certificate and transcripts
7. For a successful application of undergraduate degrees, 80% marks are NECESSARY
8. All students should be mentally and physically fit

2. TWO Recommendation letters
3. Attested transcripts
