GKS Scholarship 2023 Pakistan Quota:

As you know there are 2 tracks to apply for the GKS Scholarship – Embassy Track and University Track.

For the year of 2023, a total of 200 students from all over the world will be selected via both the tracks.

Embassy Track:

When it comes to Pakistan, 1 student will be selected via Embassy Track.

University Track:

While in the University Track, there is no fixed quota for Pakistan or other countries. For example, a total of 12 students will be selected from the Southwest Asian countries

You can also apply for the newly opened program under the University Track called UIC – University Industry Cooperation. And as mentioned early, there is no fixed quota for Pakistan.

GKS Scholarship- Korea’s fully funded platform

The GKS 2021 is a fully funded scholarship. Sponsored by the Korean Government, it targets 1278 students from different countries. As a whole, 155 nations are included.

At the moment, students who wish to gain a bachelor’s degree are invited.

Eligibility for GKS Scholarship 2021

All international students may apply
Korean citizens are NOT allowed
The age of students must be below 25 years as of March 1st, 2021.
Only High School Graduates are allowed
Those awaiting their high school results/graduation may apply too
Candidates who previously availed a Korean scholarship can NOT apply
Students should display good mental and physical health
The minimal grades requirement is 80% for the undergrad program

NOTE: All candidates must clear Korean Language Exam (TOPIK) with a minimum score of Level 3- within one year after selection.

How to apply for GKS Scholarship 2021?

All students can apply for the fully-funded GKS Scholarship 2021 via one of the two simple methods:

Dispatch original or attested documents to the Korean Embassy located in their native country. (EMBASSY TRACK)

Submit their complete documents directly towards the Domestic University of Korea. (UNIVERSITY TRACK)

NOTE: Candidates using the EMBASSY TRACK may apply to THREE universities. However, those applying via the UNIVERSITY TRACK can only apply to ONE university.

There are no hard and fast rules regarding which track should an applicant choose. Hence, it depends entirely on their personal preference and convenience.
