GKS Scholarship for India- How to apply

Indian students who wish to pursue their higher studies should apply. At the moment, undergraduate degrees are on offer.

Qualified candidates may apply by following the instructions carefully.

Applicants can apply by one of the two methods shown below:

1. The EMBASSY TRACK

This method involves the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in New Delhi. Candidates will submit their respective documents here.

2. The UNIVERSITY TRACK

On the other hand, Indian students may also use the University track, if they wish. Here, candidates will submit their complete documents to the Korean University of their choice.

NOTE: There are no hard and fast rules regarding the method used for application. This depends on the student’s choice and ease.

IMPORTANT: Those who select the Embassy track may apply to THREE different universities. However, those using the University track can only apply to ONE university.

Similarly, students CAN’T apply using both tracks at the same time. In case they do, their applications will face rejection.

Eligibility For Indian Students

The Global Korea Scholarship for India is for the following:

1. All candidates MUST be Indian Citizens
2. Korean citizens are NOT allowed
3. Candidates must be under the age of 25, as of March 1st, 2021.
4. All participants MUST be high school graduates. However, those awaiting their results may also apply. In that case, students should submit a certificate stating their expected graduation time.
5. Proof of high school graduation certificate and all high school transcripts is MANDATORY.
6. Students applying for the Undergraduate Program must have 80% grades and above.
7. All candidates must be in GOOD medical health

IMPORTANT: Applicants who fail to meet the standard grade requirements WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
