The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan is pleased to announce the Global Korea Scholarship GKS 2024 Azerbaijan for the graduate program.

Based on this schedule, the 2024 Global Korea Scholarship is selecting students for graduate degrees. Quota for GKS 2024 Azerbaijan

  • Embassy track : 6 person 
  • University track : 9 persons
    (General – 7 persons, Regional Universities – 2 persons) 


? Important Update for the 2024 GKS Graduate

Beginning with the 2024 GKS-G, candidates expecting to graduate by July 31st, 2024, can now apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation. However, they must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript to the GKS Center, NIIED, by July 31st, 2024. Failure to comply will lead to the cancellation of your acceptance.

GKS 2024 Azerbaijan Selection Schedule (Embassy Track)

  • Dates: February 26 to March 5, until 17:00 PM. (Please note: March 1 is a non-working day)
    • Submit 1 original document and 3 sets of copies.
    • Certificates in languages other than English or Korean must be submitted with an Apostille and certified translation.
    • Apostille organizations: ASAN No.5, No. 7 (Hotline: 208) and Notary Office No.1 (Tel. 012-498-4514, 012-493-4514). (Refer to website https://aznotary.az/en/page/apostil-verilmesinde-selahiyyetli-notariat-ofisleri)
      • If your document cannot be re-issued, keep the original and obtain an apostille on a notarized copy. There may be differences in the issuance fee and period of Apostille confirmation.
    • Documents accepted as proof of citizenship and family relationship:
      • Certificate of birth (with apostille) and copy of passports of family members (or copy of ID).
      • OR certificate of family relations (with apostille) and copy of passports of family members (or copy of ID).
        • You can obtain a certificate of family relations at ASAN service.

How to Submit

  • Methods: Directly to the Korean Embassy or by postal mail (only application documents that arrive within the application period will be accepted).
    • Embassy Address: ISR Plaza 14th floor, 69 Nizami street, Baku, AZ1005.

Announcement Dates

  • Documentation Review Results: March 13, 2024. Only successful candidates will be notified individually.
  • Interview: March 14, 2024, at the Korean Embassy.
  • Interview Results Announcement: March 15, 2024. Only successful candidates will be notified individually.
