The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Brazil is pleased to announce the schedule for application to the Global Korea Scholarship 2024 Brazil.

This year, there will be 9 slots available through the Embassy for Brazilians interested in studying in Korea with full scholarships.

Although the announcement allows for application only through the Embassy track of GKS-G 2024, the Embassy recommends that candidates not approved in this initial selection phase apply directly with the University of interest regarding the possibility of applying via the University Track, depending on the institution’s schedule.

GKS Scholarship 2024 Brazil Important Points

The Embassy will continue to require the original attested translation (sending only a copy in the first phase) + notarization of all documents. Thus, only candidates approved in this first phase must necessarily send us the original sworn translation and apostille of all documents, at a time to be defined by the Embassy, under the possibility of having the approval/scholarship canceled if they do not do so.
As an additional document, and not obligatory, the Embassy requests those who have taken the Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) exam, in any previous year, to present the score report. These scores MUST NOT, under any circumstances, be used to replace the GPA calculation. It is just another way for the Embassy to thoroughly understand the candidates’ academic background.
Registration through the Embassy in the 1st phase requires a large envelope, containing 4 other envelopes, as follows: 1 with notarized copies + envelopes with simple copies. Documents different from this format or not in accordance with other rules of the announcement will be automatically disqualified.
As per the announcement, submitted documents will not be returned under any circumstances.

GKS Scholarship Program Objectives

The Global Korea Scholarship aims to provide international students with opportunities to pursue graduate-level degrees at higher educational institutions in Korea. This initiative seeks to foster international education exchange and strengthen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

GKS Scholarship 2024 USA Eligibility

Nationality: Applicants and their parents must not hold Korean Citizenship.

Age: Applicants must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1984).

Degree Requirements: Applicants must hold or expect to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree by February 29, 2024.

Grades: Applicants must maintain an overall grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than any ONE of the following:

2.64 on a 4.0 scale
2.80 on a 4.3 scale
2.91 on a 4.5 scale
3.23 on a 5.0 scale
Score percentile (80% or above)

Health: Applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to study in Korea for the full duration of the program.

Applicants must submit 1 set of original application documents and 3 sets of photocopies, identical to the original set.

South Korean Embassy is pleased to announce the GKS Scholarship 2024 Nepal for the graduate degree programs and this is your chance to study in Korea on a fully funded scholarship.

Eligibility:
- Nationality: Nepali
- Education:
  - Master’s: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  - Doctoral: Minimum Master’s Degree
  - Applicants must have obtained the required degree (minimum level of education indicated above) by July 31, 2024.
- Grade: Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the entire curriculum from the previous degree program* must meet one of the conditions below:
  - Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one’s classCGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0
- Age: Must be under 40 years of age (Born after September 1, 1984)
- Health: All applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to study in Korea for the full duration of the program.
Deadline: The applicant must check the document requirements and submit hard copies of all the required documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal, no later than
March 04, 2024, 12:00 PM.
Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview.

Notice for Documents

Applicants must submit ONE (1) set of original application forms and THREE (3) sets of photocopied application forms.
All documents must follow the checklist (‘Application Checklist’) order on the first page of the application forms. Each required document must be numbered and labeled on the top right corner (e.g., 9. Proof of Citizenship).
The recommendation letter must be sealed and signed by the recommender (only ONE recommendation letter is required).
All documents must be A4-sized (for documents in another size, refer to attachments).
Personal statement and study plan should NOT exceed 1,000 words each, respectively.

Modes of Submission

Documents will be accepted through mail courier services (i.e., LBC, DHL, JRS, etc.).
For same-day courier submissions (Grab / Lalamove / etc.), provide the following details:
- Recipient’s name: GKS In-charge

- FOR GRAB / LALAMOVE DELIVERY: Inform the rider that there is NO NEED TO CALL. The documents may be left with the embassy guards upon arrival.

Label applications with your names and “GKS Application” for the guards’ reference.
The embassy holds no liability for any loss of documents during same-day delivery or mail courier services.
Applications sent via email or facsimile will NOT be accepted.

Available Study Paths

Comprehensive details about the academic programs offered by universities can be found on NIIED’s “Study In Korea” website at www.studyinkorea.go.kr > Scholarship > GKS Notice or by referring to the attached guideline.
Applicants are required to select their desired fields of study from the provided list of programs.
Evening classes, seasonal programs, as well as online and distance learning programs are not covered by the scholarship.
Prior to application, please contact the relevant department to confirm if the courses are conducted in English.

APPLICATION PROCESS

How to Apply

Candidates can apply for the Korean Government Scholarship Program through either the Embassy in their country or one of the universities designated by the Korean government.
The Korean Embassy in Algeria will select 3 students.
Duplicate submissions at the aforementioned offices will automatically be excluded and rejected.

Application Deadline

Provisional deadline: March 10th, 2024, at 4 p.m.
Applications must be submitted directly to the Embassy; submissions via DHL, Fax, or email will not be accepted.

Applications received after the specified date and time will not be considered.

Only successful candidates will receive communication from the Embassy via phone or email on March 17, 2024, in the afternoon. (Applicants not selected for an interview will not receive feedback from the Korean Embassy.)

? Documents in languages other than Korean or English must be accompanied by complete translations in Korean or English, along with photocopies of the original language documents.

? Applicants failing to submit all required documents in the correct format will be disqualified.

? For documents smaller than A4 size, attach them to a blank A4 paper. For larger documents, photocopy them to fit A4 size or fold them to A4 size.

Eligibility for GKS Scholarship 2024 Indonesia

? Applicants and their parents must hold foreign citizenship (non-Korean citizenship).

? Applicants must be under 40 years old as of September 1, 2024 (born after September 1, 1984).

? Applicants must hold or expect to hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree by July 31, 2024.

? Applicants expected to graduate at the time of application must submit a certificate of expected graduation. The official degree certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript must be submitted by July 31, 2024, at the latest.

? Grades: Applicants must maintain an overall grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than any ONE of the following scales from their respective universities:

2.64 on a 4.0 scale;
2.80 on a 4.3 scale;
2.91 on a 4.5 scale;
3.23 on a 5.0 scale; or
Score percentile: 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked within the top 20% of one’s class.

? Accepted English proficiency tests: TOEFL and IELTS only.

? Applicants must select THREE different desired universities and available fields of study from the 59 universities listed in section III (Type A + Type B) of the attached guidelines, INCLUDING at least one university from Type B.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in New Delhi is pleased to announce the “2024 GKS Scholarship India,” inviting Indian students to embark on their Graduate Degree journey in Korea.

Eligible Indian students can seek this scholarship opportunity through the ‘Embassy Track‘ and are required to submit their applications to the Korean Embassy in New Delhi.

Quota for 2024 GKS Scholarship India

NIIED has increased the quota for Indian students for 2024. Last year, a total of 50 students from India were invited to study in Korea for FREE through the Global Korea Scholarship, this year, the quota has doubled.

Embassy Track = 28

University Track = 73

Total = 101+

The deadline to apply through the Embassy Track is February 29, 2024. Please note that the deadline for the University Track varies from university to university.
